Another "Can you look at my site.." thread :/

from the quick check i did i really like it.

only problems i'd say so far is the main menu text is rather hard to read compared to the other, and also don't like the constant affect on the horizontal nav bar.

Tis a really nice design, good layout and aesthetics. However, it does feel like it's missing something, maybe a tad bland - splash a bit of colour on there perhaps, above the nav bar?

Other than that, nice design :)

Thanks for your comments guys, ill adjust accordingly...i'm not too keen on the how the "Latest Content" text is laid out at the moment so going to play about with that as well, nice to get some positive feedback!

If you are interested, i got the original HTML and CSS from here, and just tweaked and customised it so i can use it with my CMS (ModX).

looks great! well done.

On the code side of things you seem to have some blanks? dono if u are wanting them?

Code:
<strong></strong><form class="FSF_form" action="general/search.rl" method="post">
- strong is empty

Code:
<p><p>
- you have this a lot, i cant work out if its just badly placed tags or what?

Don't worry about the empty strong tag, thats only on the search page which is something i havent worked on, its just whatever code came with that module in the CMS im using, that will be sorted later :p

I cant find any <p><p>'s, have you found that on every page or just one/a few in particular? Ill blame this on the CMS im using as it uses a richtext editor that seems to love sticking <p>'s everywhere...couldnt find any on the homepage though?

nice design
icon14.gif

the colours seem to bring out the text well

on the computing and gaiming pages

Code:
 <blockquote>
<h2><a href="computing/reviews/cmstacker.rl">CM Stacker</a></h2>
<p><p>
- there are more about 6 on computing and 3 on gaming (maby more or less :P)

I think ** right thats its just down to your CMS

Looks like you just downloaded a template from six shooter then changed a little bit in dreamweaver

In general it works pretty well, but seeing as it's a downloaded theme I guess it would...

Anyway, I feel that the green circles in the navigation look a bit out of place, as does the evil monkey hand behind the "richl.com" text. Also, I really think you could do with either losing, or toning down some of the dashed borders.

sorry to be OT but im wondering why people put the css and html validator at the bottom of there site? i don't see the purpose of it as the only people who know what that means are web builders i thought and how many of those is he expecting to check his site?
