Another car crash thread!

At 6:20am today someone managed to slide their seat sideways across 2 lanes of a very long, straight Mansfield Road in Worksop, mount the pavement & take our wheelie bin out, cut across the grass verge and smash into my girlfriends dads Pug 406 Estate. :eek:

She's pushed the car through the allotment fence next door & into a telegraph pole.

I know you guys like pics, i can do better as we have CCTV up, videos to follow if my connection allows the upload to finish before I leave for work!

It's funny that her excuse was "A car was coming the other way & i had to swerve" yet no other cars came past in the 35 seconds leading upto it, someone could have pulled off a driveway I guess but I think she was speeding looking at the vid.

That looks ridiculously fast for those conditions, though it's hard to judge accurately from a video as perspective gets distorted.

Is she doing 100mph down there and then turning in to a fireball?

Please go take pictures of whats left over as there's no way she's doing a sensible speed for the road conditions.

I got pics but it was as I left for work so didn't have chance to upload. Might get a USB drive now as i've wanted vids off the cctv twice this month. Will upload pics tonight.

On my way home i'll drive past at dead on 40 & compare side by side to see difference. I'm still confused as to how she managed to end up going sideways down a straight road. Damage to the pug aint that bad but it was a glancing blow & she punted it about 5-6 meters into the fence. Every panel bar the roof is damaged lol.
