I don't know what Crysis requires for medium settings but if this doesn't play it I'd be surprised. You do need to use your existing copy of XP though. :)

This is what i'd go for with the money....

This will easily play crysis on medium.

that looks very nice....say i ordered everything above... (for example) would there be everything in there to put it all together...leads, wires ect

No. But if you want to run SLi then you should be looking at it for high res really. Otherwise there is little performance gain.

If you really really want SLi then you would need a 680i board :)

wouldnt an x1950 be better to buy then one of thoses expensive 8800's for someone who donst want to play their games at absolute maximum settings??? cuz thats the kind of spec im aining for, something that will all the latest and upcomming releases without going max on everything... i just wanna be able to play games at 1024x768, with all other settings put up to were every they will go :D, cuz to be realistic with most fast paced, active games u wont really be stopping that much to admire the veiw lol :D

Those comps suggested will easily play crysis on medium settings, probably a lot higher.

OlimaxUK, i've just finished playing crysis demo in 1280 x 1024 on med everything with th comp in my sig and it was fine. No reason to spend a stupid amount of money if you don't need the power. Depends how future proof you want to be i suppose.

Edit, Yes that is a single core cpu, not sure if you guys remember what one of those is :P

I remember lol, i currently have a P4 3 GHz... ok its HT but thats still a single core in my book :) (i also have an OLD P3 450 MHz too with win98 installed now primarily just for playing this old X-COM Apocolypes game if ne1 remembers that lol) :D

and thats what im tryin to say... i always go for low price ranges when upgrading/building, no point in spending 1k+ if your not interested in extreme settings on games (what ever happened to playing games for fun with no need for heavy graphics :()

i still need an x1950 though, this pc will only just about run UT3 in lowest settings both in res/detail :(
