During my industrial placement year, as part of my university degree I was fortunate to work at the computing centre for this major utility company. During this work placement I assisted in the migration from a thick client system to a thin client environment. I gained valuable skills in scripting and the server networking environment. I especially enjoyed the responsibility this post gave me and the opportunities provided in travelling to offices in Scotland.
