She came in yesterday and said the bill for getting it through the MOT was over £800

We had to quote for repairs, which was fitting a s/h engine (1.9 DCi) to this one, but the guy still insist's that the problem is NOT with the engine...oh well...

Never volunteer to help change the clutch on a Safrane.

As soon as i get rid of the Laguna, the Clio and the R19 16v i own, i'm having nothing more to do with Renaults...

Drop the engine out?
More like dismantle the entire front end of the GODFORSAKEN PIECE OF RENAULT EXCREMENT THAT WAS SENT DIRECTLY FROM SATANS COLON.

Lol, just for the record don't offer to change the timing belt on a galaxy reading car mechanics thats an engine out job!

My dad's 55 plate Espace just had to have the engine replaced.
He went to see it mid job, and they remove the whole front of the vehicle, the bottom of the windscreen was the furthest forward point!!

For some reason my company seems to lovebuying Renaults (must be cheap I guess), we've go tstacks of Lagunas that are about to be auctioned off well cheap as they have hit their 4 years in service by which they get replaced.

Some of them are dogs ragged to hell (you can see the service history for any company car on our intranet, I've had loads of fun plugging in reg numbers and seeing what's happened to them, and how much it cost :)) but there are some real bargains.

My friends bought their company cars at the end of their term, you can either pay whatever the glasses trade price is and take it away or wait until the auction and get it cheaper at the risk of not getting it at all. Think they paid about 2k for a 51 plate 1.9 DCi, 6 speed box, 70k on the clock, just had service and new tyres :)
