I have it on my Gigabyte GA 965P S3 board, I don't want to invest in a better cooler, keep the stock, I have the advantage that I have a thermaltake armour case with good air circulation and fans, but I still want to keep it realistic in terms of how much I overclock it. I guess 500mhz might be okay. Does anyone know a guide I could read which tells me what to change in bios?

Understood. Thanks guys, what about those drivers/bios? I downloaded the one on the top, presumed that's what I need. It gave me these.
How should I proceed?
965PDS3.11B
autoexec
FLASH895

Also, what will Orthos tell me if it's unstable? Stress CPU&RAM together should I chose?

I should get a cooler, but everybody says you can clock these a lot with stock cooler, so why not? Eventually I might get another cooler, but for the time being, it can wait..

Strange. I did everything to the letter, increased the system bus freq to 300, and my CPU is still the same at 2113ghz.. temps still the same too... 34/35. At first I mustn't have changed the thing to 300 and when I came back to desktop, it was running at 1600ghz.. but anyway, 300 just makes it run as it should, is that right?

I did ;) What I didn't do was press enter when I changed the freq, so it remained at 200... Actually, when I set it to manual, it was at 200, I'm sure. not 266. Anyway, I got it working fine, no problems. The Cpu when idle seems to drop down to 30/31c, I did the blend stress test with orthos and after 4 minutes the temps on TAT went to 50. This is only a 400mhz clock so far. I don't know what I am supposed to look for if it's unstable.. Does Orthos tell you? It says GO and is green, I presume it will say something else if it's not stable? Anyway, it seemed okay, no issues so far... How long should I run orthos for with just this small clock? 8 hours.. ?

what about memory, should I change timings and such, if so, where do I go?
Thanks

I've got it to 2664 now, and I've been running orthos for 4 hours so far, the temps are idle at 28-35 and when orthos runs at the highest 52.

Well, my overclock results suggest I could get to perhaps 3 with stock no problem, but I think I'll take note of a better cooler.. What do you think I'd get with the amanda cooler?
