Yes ebay have forums blah blah blah.

Quick question.

I've sold something worth £80 on ebay and the winning bidder has a -1 rating (here if anyones interested). Now I'm not too concerned about this as I'm selling not buying.

They've paid via paypal but with an unconfirmed address, am I fine to send this or should a be wary? Can they cancel the money or anything? I've look around on paypal but it just seems to talk about buyers protection.

Cheers

I would be, if it goes wrong they always side with the buyer usually, if she has paid though I'm not too sure what do to next.

The buyer doesn't have the greatest of reputations. You might have some after-sale trouble. My verdict would be don't sell. You are likely to get negative feedback though.

Personally id refund the paypal payment and ask her to pay by cheque or bank transfer to reduce the risk of problems later

Gah, it's like the third time I've tried to sell this thing and everytime something's happened. I'm sure it's cursed :p

Surely if I send it recorded etc there's no way she can argue and get her money back is there?

If I remember right, Recorded Delivery is NOT guaranteed. But 99 times out 100, all my RD items get delivered the following working day, if not the same week at least.

If you really want to play it safe, use Special Delivery which IS guaranteed for next working day delivery - either before 9am or 1pm, your choice.

Also recorded delivery isn't insured up to the value of the item in question here where as special delivery is. We don't want another rare stamp situation on our hands.

send it special delivery, then as soon as you get home go on ebay and type in the tracking number. Paypal then sends her a email with the tracking code in it. Should reduce the risk.

Doesnt matter if you send it recorded or special, if you send an item paid for through Paypal to an unconfirmed address you arent covered. Personally I would refuse the payment and ask for a bank transfer or deposit.

Yeah thats what i said earlier - plus if the buyer puts a paypal claim in they will probably decide in favour of the buyer.

Of course they will, this is Paypal. Seller beware.

I did notice some correct information on the thread, but the amount of people that seem to think that just sending it tracked is enough are ill informed. If they are serious, get them to confirm their address or pay through another more secure method.

I'm going to go with this then, cheers :)

Is there a refund option or is it just a case of send money back to her? As I've been charged fee's and so will she.

EDIT - Nevermind, found it!

Very true. I've explained and sent her my bank details, I also mentioned that I have an interested second chance offer (true) and said she can cancel on good terms if she's not happy about it.

:)

Well she just hasn't bothered paying for it so 9 days ago I opened a dispute. Came back with some bull**** and I offered her to go ahead with the sale or mutually call it off (kind I know).

Still no respone.

So I'm going to Close the Dispute using this option:

I feel I have no other option but to end communication with the buyer. (Available on the 8th day after dispute is filed or once the buyer responds)
You'll get a Final Value Fee credit and the buyer will get an Unpaid Item strike.

Before I do it...

Can or will anything come back to me from this? I.e Negative feedback etc? I've given her enough time and oppertunities I feel.

Cheers
