I have my e6400 overclocked to 2.5 ghz.

Fsb is 320.

My memory is set at ddr800.

This gives me a 4:5 ratio.

After reading many posts on here an the internet saying 1:1 is the best, should I drop my memory speed to get them to run at 1:1 or just run it as is?

Thx in advance

re:proper overclock

If I put my fsb to 400 will I need to bump up my vcore voltage?

It is currently at 1.3v.

I only have air cooling with akasa ak-965 cooler , temp at 2.5ghz is 35 idle so I guess that with 400fsb+vcore increase I am going to run hotter.

Mobo is asus p5b(standard) with latest bios 1803 I think.

My E6400 is at 3.2Ghz running at 400x8, with my RAM at 400x2 so 800Mhz stock speed.

I noticed no heat increase atall really from 2.8 to 3.2Ghz. Currently 40/55 under a Freezer 7 Pro

This is with absolutely no increase to any volts (almost). All I did was manually set the FSB, and then manually set the RAM to all stock indicated levels of 5 5 5 12, 800Mhz, and 1.9v (+0.1v as my mobo defaults to 1.8).

Solid as a rock!
