Hi guys,

I have some experience of building PC's in the past but have been out of the scene for a while now so am hoping to get the opinions of those with more knowledge than me on my potential gaming rig build.

I'm hoping to end up with a powerful yet fairly quiet system used primarilly for gaming and some video editing/encoding. I intend to connect this system up to my home cinema 7.1 amplifier hence the dedicated sound card.

I'm also looking to go down the water cooling route.

Ok the basic specs i have so far are:-

Case - Silverstone Temjin TJ07

Processor - Intel Core2 Quad Q6600

Motherboard - EVGA Black Pearl 680i

Graphics - BFG 8800GTX x2

RAM - 2GB CellShock XP2-8500 DDR2

HDD - Samsung SpinPoint HD103UJ F1 1000GB SATA-II

Sound Card - X-Fi Xtreme Gamer

Cooling:-
EK 8800 GTX Waterblocks
D-Tek Fuzion CPU Block
Thermochill Triple Radiator
Laing DDC 12v with Modded Plexitop
6 x 120mm Xilence Fans
2.5 Metres of Tygon 1/2" Tubing

PSU - Coolermaster Real Power Pro 1000W

Any thoughts or suggestions on these components would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance - Andy

get the OCuk 8800GTX instead? it saves like £40 per card

avoid the 680i chipset, if you want to OC. *** 780i will be a better choice
