Another HandBrake Question Pleaseeeeeeee!

Hiya Guys,

I asked about HandBrake couple of months ago, regarding the ripping settings etc. I had done a lot of ripping using the default mp4 format. Which isnt bad at all, but as was state using the h.264 codec will offer a better dvd-like quality.

I'm back again to ask which h.264 format should I be using.

See there is h.264/ac-3 .AVI or h.264/ac-3 .MP4

Will it matter which it is? aslong as I'm using h.264?

They're container formats, avi is the more widely accepted of the two. It shouldn't matter which you use in terms of quality though.

I think MP4 may offer features such as embedded subtitles though.

MP4 will play nicer with Apple TV, iPod, Xbox 360 etc
