another 'i need a new game!' thread

because, well i need a new game!
ok not quite as open ended as that, i have some criteria for you lovely chaps.
something like far cry actually, apart from not far cry. i just installed and played this until the trijen mutant things came up then quit and uninstalled.. love the first part of the game though!

also recently played black hawk down, was fun what was that delta force extreme thing floating around a while ago? remakes of all the previous delta force games iirc? piddle about on DOD:S, UT 2004, GTA:SA too at the mo.
any suggestions would be ace guys!

i need a new game too in a few weeks for my quad core 8800 ultra monster, looks like it will be Quake Wars though but not sure if its any good.

Graphically, Airborne is a lot better than Quake Wars, because QW is done on a really out-dated engine, whereas Airborne is U3.

EDIT: @marinecommando: EA only publish Crysis, the same with HL2. They dont make the games.

yeah the gfx on airborne are impressive, but unfortunatly that's all it's got going for it. The AI doesn't seem to have improved beyond the days of Allied Assault, making the gameplay unbelievably DULL.

hmm cheers for the replies guys, sadly nothing is jumping out and grabbing me though! slightly aged system prevents MOH:A etc. not to worry though as i've just bought the stuff to make another surfboard, that should keep me occupied for now!
think i might just play through my back catalogue (again!) until i can afford a new rig for crysis and that..
