If i were to purchase an official O2 pay as you go iPhone 3G would i be able to use my contract O2 sim card or are these phones locked to pay as you go?

Cheers guys (and girls :P )

apparantly not, ive just spoken to O2 tech support and they say that they are locked to pay as you go sims :(

I've just got a pay as you go iphone and tested my mams contract o2 sim in and it worked fine. Didn't work on vodafone or t-mobile but was worth a shot.

Sorry to go slightly off topic:

I have a v1 iphone (non 3g) unlocked using Orange sim via Winpwn. Could i get something like the 02 Simplicity contract and just use that?

I'm only after a cheapish contract to tie me over for a year or so, but dont want to have to pay £35+ each month for a newer 3g contract.

Thanks.

ok not that im calling anyone a liar but r u sure?, £349.99 is a lot of money for a phone i cant use.
