So I am after a 10gig, 3rd generation ipod, aren't they smaller than the 4th generation? Anyway I like how it looks with the buttons at the top so I am going for that. Thing is I don't want to spend more than £50 on it, I reckon that with all the new ones out they are not worth more than that, any chance of picking one up at that price? Also, how often are they problematic? Because I'v seen loads of them listed as faulty on ebay, I don't want to get one and having it broke in one week! By the way, that battery replacement thing, is it as easy as they make it seem? I'v found a place where they sell 1100mah, which is almost twice as much as the original battery holds, so I am tempted on getting that once I get the ipod.

well I had a 4th gen iPod 20gb and everyone said "it will be broken within a year" yet the battery life is still going strong and the case etc after a year and a half! I think you should go for it, I liked them iPods myself as well the 4th gen weren't as attractive IMO. I can't help you with the battery though as I have never replaced one but I would say it is likely to work out harder. When I had an Orange E200 everyone said it was very easy to get the case off yet it took me ages to get the blooming thing off.
