Just a few questions as i'm thinking about ordering one.

does anyone know any online shops that have them in stock? had a look but to no avail?

Whats the touch system like is it actually easy to use and well thought out?

Does even using the unit leave big smudgey fingerprints all over it?

Whats the sound quality like?

As above but with build quality?

Does it scratch easily?

Yup, nearly as easy to use as a desktop pc after a while

yes!

Great, better than my 3g nano

Amazing, glass and metal ***

Does it scratch easily?
Front is near impossible to scratch, back is near impossible NOT to scratch

Echo except I've never used the 3rd Gen Nano but I did own a 2nd Gen and to compare to the 2nd Gen, it sounds identical through my Syn CX300 earphones.

The back gets scratched WAY too easily that's why I've got Invisible Shield and only used the back - it protects but I don't really like the feel of it for the front so I omit it. The front, as tested by many on Youtube, is nearly impossible to scratch unless you start dripping and pinning it with your set of keys in the tumble dryer...

The screen however does get smudge with finger grease easily but nothing a simple T-Shirt or glasses wipe across can't handle.

I got the 16GB version and IMO, it's worth the money I've paid:)

Ive got a Touch off a friend who cant get it to work at all.. I did a restore by plugging in and holding the home button but it only works with itunes if i allow it through my firewall, which my nano doesnt need..? and no matter what i try it wont show in XP as a drive at all..

Any ideas pls..?

Mike

No, the iPod Touch, for some reason, isn't like the Nano/Classic, where it can act as an external USB drive...

Not too sure of the actual reasoning...
