Hello everybody! Since gaining a new job I have decided its time to sort out my monitor issues. The current issue is that I am down to 1 screen, and this is unacceptable lol. Now back in the day when I had my last job I had a 28" Hanns G monitor which died regularly and I gave up RMAing it. I had this alongside my 22" secondary screen and was very happy with it.
Now I'm looking through the monitor listings and theres a lot more options then there used to be (back in the day 5 years ago) to decide on. If I buy 27", do I want 120hz for a smooth experience, do I want higher res for crisper graphics, or do I want to go for half the price of those and just get a £200 60hz 1920x1080 screen?
Now I am an avid gamer, and currently because of a lack of funds my hardware doesnt match my desires. But obv this is going to change over the next several months as I upgrade. I'm currently on the below hardware:
amd x4 6000
6gb ddr2
HD 4890 1gb
Now currently my screen is 22" 1920x1080 and using the above hardware I can play most new non fps games on top graphics without issue, and most new fps games on high at least without issues. But just to note, if I do decide on the higher res screens I would likely be playing low detail on the highest res or high detail still on 1920 until a new graphics card comes my way.
So in peoples experiance as avid gamers, which one is better.
A. 1920x1080 but on a 6" bigger screen (£199 cheepest option - likely BenQ G2750 27" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black)
B. 1920x1080 120hz with possible future 3d gaming (£319 likely Iiyama ProLite G2773HS 120Hz 27" Widescreen LED 1MS Monitor - Black)
C. 2560x1440 higher detail (£359 likely Hazro HZ27WB 10-Bit 27" Widescreen Professional Monitor - Black)
Any experiances with the range would be helpful for me making up my mind!
