Another leveler site :(

Am I alone in thinking it would be extremely sad to pay someone to up your gamerscore?

Seriously, who has got so little going on in their life that they need to fake something just so they can say 'look how good I am'.

Especially on the internet where no one can actually look at you anyway. That's double sad.

True, i've yet to play a game simply for the gamer points.

I have, but that was when I was renting games.

Another thing with gamer points is that I have Saints Row, Dead Rising & Just Cause sat here doing nothing because I'm no longer interested in playing them, but I dont want to sell them as I know I can complete them and get the remainging points.

The thing about your GamerScore is it is nice to be able to play a game and see how good you compare to others. I don't really mind how high the score is, but how good people are at a skillful game.

I still play PGR3. Why? So I can get more points. I was really chuffed when I got all golds, and I am still working on getting to Rank 1. I like when you can compare your score to another, so I can see the appeal, but I guess some people are happy when others think they are great at a certain game.

It would make a great insult. "You must be rich, theres no way you earned that gamerscore" etc.

I wonder how much they charge to get someone to #1 at Geometry Wars?

I dont play games for gamerpoints at all, but I think they are a good idea as sometimes they do add a bit more of a challenge/a goal to work towards and replayability.
