Another motorsport life lost :(

there should be marshalls or something warning them of a stopped car

poor *******

While this thread is no place for an argument, how exactly do you know that there were any marshals at that particular place on the stage? Or that they didn't think the car was far enough off the road to be safe? Making assumptions and blaming the men and women who DO make motorsport safe... not on.

RIP.

As it says on the tickets "motorsport can be dangerous" :(.

Looks like a tragic accident, unfortunately its rallying and things like this can happen.

Its crazy allowing someone to change a wheel on a special stage just off the track where one person has crashed... could you see that kinda behaviour on a circuit race?????

The marshalls would insist you were moved to safety immediately...

I guess thats rallying tho, safety less important than making the next stage

Its the rules to blame, not the marshalls...

:(

I remember des lynam saying on aytron senna's tribute programme on bbc in 94 - "Motor sport can always be made safer, but never safe", and sadly, this week's proven it :(

heard about it today on WRC....sad, and as has been already said, imagine what Barry Clark must be feeling.................BUT, it was an accident and a tragic one at that

RIP

Really sad news about both these drivers. The only thing we can hope is that they died quickly and painlessly and that they did so doing what they love.

As Dan Wheldon, England's Indy Car racer, was quoted as saying:

"Racing is what I love. It's my job to race and I love my job. It can be pretty vicious at times, but there are a lot of highs, too."
