Where you least expect me
hello everyone,
i was really keen on buying the deathadder until the upgraded it :(
it now costs about £45 and is not vey good value for money any more.
after looking up more mouses i found the g500 would be good same price as the new deathadder but more features/dpi and more widely reviewed too.

now since i like everything sort of matching i would like you guys to spec me a keyboard to compliment the g500 im going to buy, i looked at the g15 but i dont really have the money for it or the need for an lcd on my keyboard. so that put that budget at about £45-£50 max i was thinking alonge the lines of g11/moicrosoft's keyboards

There is another option i could forget the g500 and you guys could spec me a keyboard and a mouse if you dont think the mouse is suitable that budget would be £90 please keep it under £100
Thanks a lot in advance

NOTE: one final request concerning the mouse complimenting keboard if you guys have pics of you mouse/ kebourd set ups i would really like to see :) thanks
edit: my budget is flexible as long as you decrease it :p if i save money here i can spend more on the pc itself

Comfort should be the primary point of concern. Use whatever sits best in your hand, then select features accordingly.

Keyboards don't make a huge amount of difference in my opinion. I use a Saitek Eclipse II.

Mouse wise I used to use a deathadder until all the buttons progressively stopped working, which happens with all razer products I'm lead to believe. I now use a logitech mx518 which I'm more than happy with, pretty cheap too.

Not to sound fussy but i dont like the styling of the mx518
just another question it says the g500 along with some razer mouse have 1000mhz ultrapolling
the razer keyboards have it to but it seems no other keyboard does, is this bad?
what is ultrapolling can i actually notice the difference?
sorry for all the questions but i have ocd when buying things i like my money perfectly spent

Styling, pfff :p looks nicer in the flesh anyway.

1000mhz polling used to be really useful for older mice (8mb or something), e.g. the old logitech mx500 mouse could be overclocked from 125mhz to 1000mhz, reducing the response from 8ms to 1ms. Movement would then be smoother and should be more linear. Apparently for a few years now with newer mice it doesn't make any difference as they're 16mb pathway or something like that, having said that I have still overclocked my mx518 to 500mhz.

I'd say it could be useful for mice, especially in twitch shooter fps games. In keyboards it shouldn't really much difference at all, just another way for razer to say look at these numbers our products are capable of. Bit of a gimmick imo, bit like dpi figures nowadays at 4000+ and beyond. You'll actually see a lot of competitive players asking for older mice and use 400dpi.

With regards to mice I think it's important for it to be comfortable in your hand, doesn't have negative acceleration, tracking is spot on, enough programmable buttons in good locations. A good mousemat will also help with tracking.

For the mouse I'd recommend a Roccat Kone V2, I use it myself and it's a great piece of kit, on the fly adjustable dpi setting, adjustable polling rate and the works.

Great tracking, works even better with a mouse mat too.

As for keyboards I use a Razer Tarantula, but I think the two combined runs a little over your budget. It also appears to have been removed from OcUK so I can only really suggest the Roccat Arvo based off my mouse being a great piece of tech.
