Haha i told you i'd be back

in light of my new build courtesy of everyone who contributed to my prior thread, my cousin now wants a new build (hes been bugging me for months

)

His budget is exactly 500. he wants an intel based system and capable of running most of the latest games (mainly Flight sim 2004, cod 4 and cod 5) and is not interested in demanding games like crysis or FSX

Any ideas guys?

Through a ACF 7 Pro onto my spec as will still come to Less that £524 and the Motherboard in mine is P45 apposed to the P43

i WOULD prefer the antec 300 case and the ocz gold edition ram, and a 500 gb hardrive, for games and some office work, eventually 320gb becomes a bit small

whats the difference between all these different branded ati cards, so namely the powercolor which is £6 more than the HIS

could you whip up a spec with the above requirements please, if its not too much trouble

Different branded 4870 have slighty different core clock etc.
This motherboard/cpu/cooler you could easily hit 3.3GHz +

nahhh hes got the monitor and keyboard sorted, its just really the tower i need to sort out for him. hes still going through school (hes 14) so it will obviously be needed for school work, and general pc use (remember what we used to do on our pcs at age 15 (no not porn haha), hes gonna need something good)

i do like kennys spec, but im in love with the antec 300 and the ocz ram, and i also love asus

ive still got the £12 shipping to take into account, so its actually 536

maybe if i changed that to an e8400 and changed the graphics card to powercolor ati (ive got it, its awesome) and reduce the psu to 500w to save a tenner or so, that spec just might work

hmmm my spec still seems to be coming out cheaper, the processor is better than e7400 (we are not overclocking) but the motherboard is p43

is there really much difference between a p43 chipset and a p45, i heard p45 is mainly good for overclockers, which we wont be doing
