Hi all,

I'm looking to build a good, fast machine for general use. OS will be win 7 Pro and typical programs I use include the Adobe creative suite. I usually work on large graphics and video files.

I may have a go with some gaming to (heavy Xbox user that the moment).

I have a good case and 3 monitors (2x 19" widescreen & 1 x 21" normal), keyboard and mouse and 2 x 2TB sata drive for storage (raid 1).

This is what I am looking at getting...

I am looking to get a good system that I can build on at a later date by adding more SSD HD's and maybe another graphics card.

My budget for these parts or equivalent is around £900.

Any suggestions on what to drop/replace from that lot?

Thanks.

I looked at the sandybridge boards but ultimately got the P6X58D-E because I forgot to swap it for a sandybridge board when I ordered! Stupid me!

Very happy with it so far :)

I didn't take any pics whilst building but here is a crappy shot just taken with the phone.

The ATi card just fits with 2mm to spare. Also the CPU cooler allows *just* enough room for the ram heat sink. All very tight but doable :)

Lol. That would have been a total ***k up!

Well I am very happy with it so far and it runs adobe great. So thanks for the suggestions (even if I did manage to mess up the mobo/cpu!)

Just truing to get all 3 monitors working now which is proving a bit of a problem :(
