Another NFS Most Wanted is comming out

Burn out sucked the big one.

I got it free, played it for 5 minutes then binned it. Horrible game.

I've not played a NFS game for years, if the new one is anything like burnout it will be many more years also :p

with EA's history i dont care how awesome the trailor looks i'm still waiting for at least a demo before i buy it. too many of their recent games have been utter flops with amazing trailers for me to buy before i try

If this is based on the 'drive where you want world' like the original most wanted then this will be very good indeed so I'm looking forward to it, which makes a change as all other NFS since most wanted have been **** really.

It's like Most Wanted + Burnout Paradise + autolog. So instead of trying to beat AI racers to become the Most Wanted, you'll be trying to beat your friends.

Please tell me they aren't going to make the same mistake as they did with Hot Pursuit and release another game with the same name as an older one - surely it should be Most Wanted 2?

The 'cool' thing to do these days seems to be to release games with the same names as old ones. Tomb Raider, Medal of Honor, Hot Pursuit and now Most Wanted.

Tbh it looks like Burnout just with cops. I am disappointed with the gameplay big time.

This.

It could have been so good.

Ironically enough, the people who gave us the original most wanted, made Need for Speed : The run. and look how that turned out :(

At least with Medal of Honor the name was slightly different (no suffix i.e. Allied Assault etc).... I could almost understand it with HP given that the original was made in the 90s and many kids wouldn't be aware of it, but MW isn't that old, it even came out on the XB360. Wonder if anyone will cash in and sell copies of the old game on ebay etc? :)

Jesus H. Christ!

IIRC 2004-ish was when I stopped really caring about this 'franchise' and I think NFS 2 SE was my best overall.

The last NFS i bought was hot pursuit which was pretty lame and before that most wanted which remains the only game i have ever completed to 100%. Somehow i cant see it living up to being as good as the original so i probably wont bother.

You must be damn good. I got peed off after reaching number 4 on the list and couldn't get any further. :(

Everything after Most Wanted / Carbon sucked big time, although Pro Street was bearable...

As big as a cash-cow EA is, surely they realise they would sell much more copies of Need for Speed if it went back to the street racing set-up, rather than what it is now? Some of my most fun times in racing games were from the Underground / Underground 2 era, those games were phenominal, and in my opinion, walk over the games of today. Heck, sometimes me and a mate actually get out our old PS2s and have a good play of Underground 2. The graphics aren't great anymore, but it's still got great playability...

Underground 3 go-go-go! :D
