sorry for this noob question but does the asus a8n sli deluxe support x16 pci express lanes because i anm lookin to get the new 8800 gtx for christmas

Yes it does, but you won't be able to go SLi, as with 2x cards both slots will run at 8x only, but 1x card will be fine on its own as said as it will run at the full 16x.
