Looks pretty good, E8400 will overclock pretty well on the p5q pro (if your into overclocking) good choice of parts mate, good luck with your build.:)

Thanks Setter, all the parts have come from advice from other members and is a far cry from what the original list was...

I would just like to thank all of you for all your help so far, its really been appreciated and has kept me from doing something daft like heading to PC World! lol

Naah mate, never go to them shops, they charge to much for basic components, and even more to fit them, im pretty new to building computers myself, but the satisfaction of buying your own parts, and then putting that machine together, is immense, then when you start overclocking, thats a whole new ball game, but a very enjoyable game:D

Yeah I felt like a kid when they delivered all my stuff for my first build 6 years ago... the size of the ******* box had me beaming! lol

My first build was an athlon s939 sli set up, i knew sod all about building pc's (used to be a console gamer) the actual building process was great fun, and very educational, my mates are all xbox 360 gamers, not my scene, you cant get 48 players in a game of cod4 on the xbox, i run a q6600 @3.6ghz (capable of 3.8ghz) with a gtx 280 vid card, great gaming machine.

I was always a PC gamer, much prefered the complex strategy games like Medieval Total War and the ultimate shooters like Half life 1 & 2 not to mention mmo's like Star Wars Galaxies, Until SOE and Lucas Arts slaughtered it. I only appreciated consoles when my girlfriend bought me a PS3 but at my core im always gonna be a PC gamer.

My first build was an Athlon 3000, on an A-bit NF7-S mobo and I loved it, seemed to blow the socks off of everyone elses machine for about 2 years.
