Another Office help needed

My Brother has XP on the PC and when he goes to install Office 10 it goes halfway and then doesnt go any further but rolls back!!

It as a Dell PC but sure of the spec. Not a new PC. It has more than min spec for Office.

The discs are genuine as he bought them the other day direct from MS.

Tried a usb DVDwriter, but still the same.

Any ideas? Thanks

Send it back to MS and buy it from somewhere else, or send it back and get a replacement if not then it might be a good idea to upgrade

Plenty. Tried again today. even formatted HD but it still wouldnt install came up with XML missing.

Can you get a screenshot of the exact error message or just write down the exact error message.
