Another option apart from PC?

I notice it has a USB-b port for connecting to a PC or laptop for listening to files directly.. As My PC has power hungry hardware (1080ti) and I might end up getting one, I was wondering if there was another device I could use to replace the PC? As it would be power overload using my PC.

I have a networked hard drive, nvidia shield or could buy something else.

So I'm looking for a device with USB output to go into the SMSL and to hopefully control the files being played via my phone.

If its plug and play ie. no drivers. You can use an old android phone with USB OTG.
