Hello [Overclockers] World,

I need a better cooler asap, as even now CPU temperatures reaches 90'C during listening to music, ONLY. :/
o.O
I thought of Mars RR-CCX-W9U1-GP, but I would like your opinion.

Code:
MB: ASUS P5Q
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53GHz

I'd also like to overclock the CPU afterwards, so...... any suggestions?

90c listening to music? I would reccomend reseating the cooler and putting some new thermal paste on that. Even with the stock cooler it shouldn't be reaching that temperature.

As for a new cooler, What's your budget?

I'd attempt to sort you current cooler before progressing to trying to fit a better one.
Maybe clean the case out, make sure all the fans are actually turning and not full of dust.
90degrees is too high when not under heavy load, so fix what is broken before you attempt to overclock.

I thought of that as well [cleaning the paste and putting new one], but beside this master overheating, I find this cooler too noisy... even back in the days when it used to work ok. I always had to go to BIOS and set it to silent, or else I wouldn't be able to sleep with it working.

Budget is <30€, so I'm thinking whether I'll be able to find something to be smooth and good with that money, or just I'll have to wait a little bit and spend some more on the stuff that not only will work good, but will last ...you know...

The case is cleaned 2 weeks ago and one side is fully open. Yeah, fans are spinning... Now I think that maybe that paste I put on was bad quality. But I messed with GPU cooler as well, and it seems that it doesn't have a problem with it.

Temperatures
Motherboard 45 °C (113 °F)
CPU 37 °C (99 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #1 49 °C (120 °F)
CPU #1 / Core #2 52 °C (126 °F)
GPU Diode 57 °C (135 °F)
Seagate ST3500320AS 44 °C (111 °F)

:D

And I don't know how I managed to silent the old spinner :)
We'll see if something changes in the meantime, but changing the thermal paste and cleaning the fan obviously helped [I'm back online].... so there's no need for a new cooler.

I'll save momo's suggestion for future anyways.

Thank you guys, you're the best!
