another problem with bf2142, can anyone check?

trying to play again today, first time in ages, and like always i get problems trying to play this game at first.

it will log in and load multi player all fine, but then once it tries to load the list of games it's so so slow and often coming back with nothing, or every 10 seconds finding about 2 more, stopping with around 15-30 games, then all of a sudden once in a blue moon there is 200 games, but i can never connect just message saying check network settings.

eventually i might be able to get into a small player game, and it is 100% fine, no lag or anything :confused:

when i am in game and minimise to use Firefox i can't get the internet, i have to quit the game to be able to use the internet.

speedtest.net is giving me 20,000kb/s down and 700kb/s up, 37 ping with virgin media

anyone able to help me out why this is happening? can anyone check if this is just more of something wrong maybe with ea?

be your router, have you opened all the right ports

and maybe your router just cant handle all the open connections, with the fireefox problem

how would i know what port needs to be open?

it has worked in the past and afaik the router hasn't had anything change to it so wouldn't though so but worth finding out i guess

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm pick the router then the game

may as well reset your router back to factory settings as well, always does the trick for me when i get continuous disconnections in games
