I am on a list for special offers on Royal Opera House performances. Orchestra stalls seats for The Nutcracker at 7pm on 1st Jan, and at 7.30pm on 4th Jan are available at the greatly reduced price of £55 with use of the promotional code: sugar

There aren't many left though. I just nabbed four for myself, and had to settle for two lots of two such that each couple, though complete, will be seated apart from each other. From what I can gather from their odd (poorly designed) online ordering system, there are at least another four tickets left, but no guarantees and they're moving quite fast. I saw two go in the ten minutes I was discussing the idea with a friend.

Oh yeah, it's roh.org.uk you'll need to visit, and you'll have to register to order of course but it was a rapid process as I remember.

Nah, I realise this is a bit more an 'acquired taste' than some cheap spirits from an online shop, but you never know there might just be one or two people on here who would like to make the romantic gesture of taking their tart to the ROH on New Years Day.

It's just over a third off the usual price too, for top notch tickets. They're only bettered by the grand tier, and there are so few of those that they're practically impossible to get without coughing up a large annual subscription, so these are as good as it gets for we mortals.
