Ok, i've running simplecentre for my ps3.

however i find it slow ( i have a large about of music, each in it's own folder) to load the folders and then it displays the tracks in a-z order, which is annoying

I've been looking at tversity, which looks really good..
I was wondering if any one had used it yet or has used it...

Thanks

TVersity is about as good as it gets for a PS3 media centre. I use my PC as a media source and it will play everything I throw at it, if its something the PS3 doesnt like, TVersity will transcode it on the fly to something it will accept. I dont think theres another solution that will do that which is a shame as I want to transfer to Mac but TVersity is the only thing holding me back as its not supported! The fact that TVersity is completely free really does wrap it up also.

I use Tversity and it's brilliant, as is windows media player. However i'm unsure whether either will resolve your issue, it is a trait of media servers to take a while streaming large amounts of folders to the source.

I would say try WMP first, it's easier to setup and maybe slightly faster than Tversity.

not really a windows media player fan.. but i've tryed nero and it killed my box...

Think i'll give TVersity a go this weekend...

Thanks

I personally found TVersity to be complete crap. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I found it hard to setup, it was far slower than WMP and anything that it had to transcode didn't play at all. Any simple guides out there or something?
