Hey guys,

Going to be running the below in new setup I'll build when I get home. Already purchased a Seasonic MD850 and checked Antec PSU calculator etc, but starting to get paranoid it wont be enough. Grateful if anyone has similiar spec system that can confirm OK or not:

Core i7 920 clocked to 4Ghz
2 x ATi 4890 crossfire
6Gb DDR3
5 WD 1tb Cavier Black HDD
1 OCZ 32Gb SSD
1 DVD optical
PCi NIC

Thanks very much in advance,
JP.

Hi there,

I came across someone on this forum who was experiencing issues with their Seasonic PSU and Gigabyte UD5 mobo being incompatible..

The mobo worked fine with other PSU's, and his Seasonic PSU would work perfectly with other mobos, but when he tried powering the UD5 with the Seasonic, it didn't work at all...

There is a video on Youtube where someone else has the exact same issue as well.. I don't know if it is the same PSU as yours or not, but it might be worth checking out just incase...

Hopefully your PSU is different from theirs...

Good luck with the build man ;)

Hey Davyboy,

Now that is weird, ths PSU playing up with the UD5 board.

Thankfully not me, PSU is for an Asus Rampage II board, fingers crossed!

Thanks for the good luck wishes, havent built a system in about 6 years, starting to feel rather nervous about it, putting all my thoughts, plans and testing down as notes so I have a semblance of a build and test plan when I get home in 2 weeks! Gonna post the build log online with piccies.

Cheers,
JP.
