[another question] my computer stopped responding

im being somewhat of a windows noob recently !

'my computer' just doesnt work anymore. everytime i open it i get an empty window which just freezes so i have to end the task.
no amount of restarting can solve this :*(

now i have to goto my pictures or doccuments or soemthign and select where i want to access fromt he drop down menu . that works, unless i select 'my computer' from the drop down menu.

any ideas ? - im due a format on my next upgrade but at this moment its not really an option

i use NOD32, and im popping out for a few hours so ill leave that and o&o defrag running. til i get back, then doo allt he rest you said.
