All,

I currently have Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Anni running on Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3. I'm wanting to upgrade to 4GB - What would be the best 'bang for buck' RAM? I can overclock if neccessary.

What should I go for?

I'm currently torn between OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (OCZ2G8004GK) OR Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB).

Both £40ish

Any others I should consider for my set up?

What speed is your ram running at now?

Memory is so cheap atm, 4gb cost me £70 6 months ago.

My Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Anni is just running at stock at the minute. I did have it overclocked, but since my HD died and reinstalling Vista, I haven't put the settings back as of yet :o

If you don't need your ram running at over 800mhz, then buy either of what you listed.

OCZ are pretty good for RMA'ing if things do go wrong.

Your ram will run at anything below 800mhz fine, and probably some above, depends what you want.

That MB was pretty good at its' time, it will work fine with it.

Just to check guys...Would Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMD4GX2M2A1066C5) be compatible with my mobo?
