Hiya

im taking my first plunge into adding a GPU to my Custom loop, can you check my plan an re-assure me that it will be ok or any other ideas ?

its for cooling a Titan X with the EK nickel block

Yeah i don't see why it wouldn't work. Could you not put a 280mm rad at the front and then mount the res to the rad, just to give a bit better cooling. I know them TX's are pretty hot, I think I'd want at least 2x240mm. Especially if you want some big overclocks :)

thought about that but EVGA are shipping out those hybrid AIO coolers with 120mm rads and fans and peeps seem happy

not keen on covering the front intake either , might try the 140mm and if it cooks then upgrade

With an oc'd 8 core cpu and a Tx your gonna be cutting it close with a 240 and 140mm. Id reccomend a a 240-280 up front and a 240 up top both as intakes and a rear fan as exhaust.

Not sure what cpu block you have but is the inlet and outlet the right way round in the loop layout? Off the top of my head it would be wrong with some ek blocks.

my EK cpu block has the inlet right in the middle and this has to be the input flow. So check with the block you are going to chose as it will mean a different route.

Ok worried now so ordered in a 280 rad

should I really have both rads pulling in air or have

280 rad with intake and the 240 and rear as out?

That's what I'm saying does the layout above not show the outlet in the centre of the block and the inlet to the right?
