Another recommendation thread

Hey all,
I'm thinking of getting a new monitor for my gaming PC.
Wondering if anyone can
1/ advise a decent monitor 27"+ for under £250(ish)
2/ is curved screens just more of a gimmick than anything else?

Unfortunately I have no where near enough spare cash to spend that much on a monitor

I don't play as much as I use to, so only looking to spend around the £250 mark

Kind of a self bump but could anybody explain to me the difference also between VA, IPS and TN?
