Well i was under threat from redundency before but survived now the whole site is shutting i will definetly be made redundent.

I have never in my life been in this kind of situation and would be activly job searching.

ive never applied for housing beneifit etc i am in a rented place, and jsa.. what else could i look at claiming just so i dont end up in a deeper pocket of dept.

job searching i am sure i can get on with i am just worrying over direct debits credit card and the other stuff, am i best contacting companies that i owe and trying to arrange something?

also i am only entitled to the goverment redundency my company has no redundency insentive of any kind. :(

any advise anyone can offer i would really appreciate it :(

I assume you mean incentive. If so then as far as I know (and I'm no expert on this) its not upto them to decide if they need to pay out redundancy, its down to the situation.

When you say the "whole site is shutting down" do mean the company itself has other sites which aren't shutting down? If so then the company itself isn't insolvent and by that reckoning they should be paying redundancy to those that are entitled to it (ie proper contracted worker, working >1 or 2 years)

I'm sure others can offer better insight but a few more details on whether its just a single site or the whole company/parent company closing down would help?

Sorry mate im all over the place about it so not making very much sense.

the company has several sites in the UK the site i am currently in is shutting down and moving to the midlands meaning everyone at this site will be going through the redundency process.

ive worked for the company for 5 years on a £13.500 base annual salary according to government calculator id be entitled to around £900ish i think. im also over 21
