Hi All,
As you can guess from the title, yesterday i received a Samsung SM2253BW
Also got Grid and Crysis
First impression are great! Obviously, had to attempt a basic calibration as out of the box it was way to bright, not quite there yet as need to do abit more fiddling, but quite happy how it is at the moment.
Anyway, on to my question, whilst games load and display they're video clips, ive noticed it flickers accross the screen in a line, the line seems to move up the screen gradually on longer videos. Its not happened much in game, but has happened once or twice (only managed to play 1 hour max since installing).
Just wondering what could be causing it as it didnt happen on my old CRT. I know there are probably a lot of variables, but here is basically the main points:
ATI 512Mb 4870 OC'd to GPU 780Mhz and Memory 1090Mhz using CCC version 8.12
Resolution of 1680x1050 @ 60Hz
As i say, it didnt happen at all with the old Mitsuishi Diamontron NF, which as i understand it is/was a very good monitor, and nothing has really changed but the refresh rates and as its widescreen, the aspect ratio. The resolution is lower than it was with the CRT as that could support very high res.
Any ideas on what i can do to prevent this? I really dont want to reduce the resolution just to increase the refresh rate, anything other than its max looks dreadful imo.
Thanks in advance!
