Hello peeps, had been thinking of building an iTX system, but just too restrictive for what I'm after. So extending my budget and requirements to build a full system (all I have is a mouse!). Not to be overclocked, but to last me for years as an ultra stable system. Oh, I have Windows7 on pre-order already, so OS is sorted.

My last system was built 2004!

Here is the list, minus just the case. Perhaps a Coolermaster 341 mATX case.

The system is a fair chunk of money, so wondering if things might be better spent. I could save £100 and go for a Radeon 4850, and upgrade later. But that would, at best, set me back another £100 for a 5850?, so may as well plump for it now.

Thanks for your suggestions,
Chris.

Thanks, I figured a 450w would be ample, and save me some pennies on the electric bill. As for a case, have been looking at mATX towers, such as the coolermaster 341. Hopefully things shouldn't get too hot in there if I'm not OCing. May opt for a better CPU cooler though. Thanks for the heads up!

Ok, finally ordered my stuff after procrastinating for months!

Build as above, except I've gone for the C7 Ram, all wrapped up in an Antec Mini P180 case - I figured the unit will sit under my desk so size wasn't critical, and the P180 looks like a nicely built case. Only thing I had already was a mouse - Logitech MX1100.

Will be eating beans on toast for the next few weeks...
