this is going to be my first Core 2 build so I just wanted someone to tell me this was ok! Going to be replacing the Athlon XP2500 in my parents PC with the following

It's not going to see any gaming action just some web browsing and office etc. Might give it a little OC just because it would be wrong not too, real question is will that RAM be ok?

The Ram will be ok although given the OcUK PC6400 is exactly the same price I'd just go with that or just having seem Nymins post I'd go with that Ram instead. Your chances of going far with an overclock are probably quite slim since the motherboard isn't intended for that purpose but a mild overclock should certainly be possible.

Cheers Guys, nice spot on the RAM there always nice to get a little extra for your money!

Only going to be a mild overclock on this one I wouldn't bother but it seems wrong not too

I'll save th hardcore overclock for my build when I can afford it!
