Hey guys,

So I recently got a samsung 830 128GB SSD and a CM612S cooler for my old system which I am planning to slowly upgrade. It's ton's faster with the SSD and the new cooler allowed me to reach a better OC, so double thumbs up.

The next step is the big(ish) one, new mobo, cpu and ram as well as another 830 (for RAID 0). The whole lot will be going in a fractal arc mini (if OCUK get stock by this weekend) so how does the below look?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £184.99
1 x Asus Z77 Maximus V Gene Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** Free ROG 16GB USB ** £154.99
1 x Samsung 128GB SSD 830 Desktop Series SATA 6Gb/s KIT with Norton Ghost - (MZ-7PC128D/EU) £89.99
1 x TeamGroup Elite 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED316G1600HC11DC) £64.99
Total : £506.36 (includes shipping : £9.50).

The other components will be a TX650 PSU and an old XFX 8800GT, the graphics card is crap I know and I will be upgrading, but currently I need a system for dev work and gaming, I'm only playing CS:S at the moment so GFX can go on the back burner.

Eventually I'll be watercooling in this case but for now I'll want to use my 612S, what are the chances of it:

A) fitting in the case (seems like it will from research but not 100%)
B) fitting on the board with a GFX card (as above)
C) fitting with 2 fans and not hitting my RAM.

Cheers for the help, let me know any opinions on the spec

At the moment I have an antec 900 (which will fit this lot) but with this upgrade i'll hopefully be grabbing a Fractal Design Arc Mini.

OCUK haven't had stock for a while but if there are other suggestions please fire away with them (NOT the define cases, don't like them at all).

Requirements would just be uATX and good airflow, I don't care about noise really.

My questions were regarding the CPU cooler and the new components, so I guess the questions should really read:

A) Will the 612S fit in the case with these components
B) Will the 612S fit on the board with a GFX card
C) Will the 612S with 2 fans fit without hitting the RAM

I know the board etc will all fit and the GFX card/RAM etc, it's more the cooler that's worrying me as it's absolutely huge.

hurrah! now I just need OCUK to stock the case before the weekend, I've got everything crossed, and I mean everything.

Hmm I have had a look at that but it seems that inside isn't as nice, especially for watercooling in the future. Too mounted PSU and non removable HDD cages look like they would be a nightmare!

Thanks anyway

I get the cable management side of things, what I mean is I can't see anywhere to put a rad (as it would usually go up top) and the arc mini can have half HDD cages removed, I still have one mechanical HDD that would need to go in.

Is there nothing that has the same features as the fractal arc mini but is available? or smaller even! Ideally i'd like something uATX, USB3 and small, otherwise it's the fractal hands down!

I had read that, just thought 2mm sounded like a pretty small margin for error and so I could have slight issues once standoffs, mobo, cpu and cooler were mounted.

Thanks for the help guys, especially doomedspeed, unfortunately none of those cases really tick the boxes I need ticked, can't stand the define series (opening a door to cool my pc, no ta) and I don't do white cases. The lian li looks ok but really wanted a black interior. I think i'll have to hold out for the Arc Mini really.

Considering 2 Force GT 60s in RAID 0 + my samsung 830 instead of 2 samsung 830s in RAID 0, going to post in storage section now but what do people think?
