Apologies for posting yet another spec thread as theres tons of em appearing daily I realise but I've never dabbled in oc'ing before and would prefer to have a decent system in place before I try.

Budget is around the £500 mark and trying to salvage anything I can out of my current system which means Im sorted for hd/g card/dvd etc. If I need a case I could squeeze some more out of my next wage but not wanting to do it unless it would mean poor performance.

Things im keeping from my current system are
akasa 500w atx2.2
geforce 8800 gts 320mb
case

Was looking at

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail - £176.24
OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC2-5400C5 Dual Channel Vista Upgrade Gold Series DDR2 - £93.99

Obvioulsy need a motherboard and cooler and again wasn't sure what to go for so help would be appreaciated. Would be interested in SLi for when I can afford another gfx card.
Very interested in the reviews I seen here and might have actually seen this in someone else's spec thread but this one here looks a bit of a beast :)

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

tbh mate i wouldn't waste my money going sli as it doesn't offer anything u really need i think your money would be better spent water cooling your system

for a mobo

Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

He won't really need water cooling a nice air cooler would do nice. If you can later on afford a SLI setup I would do that or wait for the new Nvidia series which is supposed to come out in november.
