I have a Phenom 9950 black on an Asus MN32-SLI Prem mobo with 8gb pc2-6400 mem and a 8800 GTS graphics card. This is slightly overclocked to run the memory at 400mhz. All in all it goes well for general use and some photoediting (8-10mb files). My daughter wants an up to date machine for the same sort of usage first thoughts are:

The os will be windows 7 64bit. I think this should go pretty well but am unsure about the cooler and graphics card in terms of noise and temperature impact. The intention would be to add more disk space later. Budget for the box is around a grand. The montitor likely to be something like the current equivalent of the 22 inch IIyama E2208HDS or similar.
