I currently have an Athlon XP and have decided it's time to move on, however, I am a little unsure as to what direction to take.

First of all I need to decide between AMD or intel, I am edging towards Intel Dual Core at the moment.....

Basically, I have about £400-£500 to spend and am going to need CPU, RAM, M/b & GFX card (current one is AGP). I can use my current kit for anything else.

Any suggestions as to what would be a good spec? I do play a lot of games so the gfx card is always going to be important.....

Given the budget I think this is what I would be aiming for, it should overclock nicely although you may want to buy a better CPU cooler if taking it much beyond stock speeds :)

As it happens that is pretty much what I was looking at. What would be good fan wise (I intend to overclock, if not straight away, at some point). I have heard good things about a cooled called the Ninja....
