Hi all, been out of the loop (see what i did there) for a while and need a full set up please.

ill be cooling the cpu and card and it will be going in a corsair 800d.

The cpu is a i7 920 and the card is a Gigabyte Windforce 670 2Gb (3 fan card)

Would a triple be enough for both of these as i wont be overclocking much.

Not sure if i want a tube res or combo but i DO want a d5 in the mix.

Dont want to use dye's and will use distilled water will a silver kill coil.

Would like both blocks black if possible please and a back plate for the card.

Any help would be helpful :)

Triple will be fine, but ideally you would want a thick one so you can use low fans. I have an i7 3820 running 4.5GHz @1.36v and a EVGA GTX670 FTW cooled by a 60mm thick triple with three cheapo scythe Kaze fans running at 500RPM.

Forgot to add,I'll be using 6 corsair sp120 fans as I have already got 4 on my h100,would they be ok with a thick rad ?

Yes, easily, in fact I would recommend just using 3 of your 4 at first to see if you actually need to buy more.

You should probably use some kind of corrosion protection, if you don't want to go with "Computer fluids" just mix some engine coolant with the distilled water (bout 5-10% should be fine).

I'll use mayhems but only natural and no colour.

If I use the 6 corsair fans, cod I turn them down lower than using only 3 fans running a bit higher speed.

Hows this?:

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK Tech Lab - XSPC D5 Vario Pump & EK-D5 X-TOP CSQ Value Combo £81.98
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-FC680 GTX+ CSQ Full Cover Waterblock - Acetal + Nickel £79.99
1 x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator SR1 360 £69.98
1 x EK-Supremacy - CPU Waterblock - Copper Acetal £51.98
1 x EK-BAY SINGLE RES CSQ - Acetal £38.99
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-FC680 GTX Backplate - Black CSQ £22.99
Total : £345.92 (includes shipping : FREE).

You will need 10x fittings and tubing in your chosen size, plus the fans you have and whatever coolant you decide to go with. I still don't think your going to need 6 fans as the rad is much thicker than a H100 and 1.5x the length plus its copper not alu, but its your choice :)

That looks fine, but one problem,I don't like the new ek blocks with those circles on them :(

Sorry to be a pain, should have put that in the opening post.

You may be out of luck then, most places have run out of stock of the old style blocks, tho I believe EK may have a couple of GTX680 blocks left on their site. Your only option is to find a different manufacturer who's stuff you do like the look off, or wait until EK release new blocks as they have scrapped the circles design now so may be replacing the current circled lineup later in the year (hopefully).

I've had one of them pumps and they are very loud,I had the kit for it which included the foam but still vibrated a hell of a lot.

Would try another one as long as it was quiet.

I like that spec, might get a tube res instead of a bay res but other than that it looks good.

Right, been looking around for some ideas and come up with this lot.

Going to mount this lot where the 140mm fan is on the middle panel of the 800d.

Good idea or not ?
