Hi all,

Basic bones of this 'spec me' is my mate who has Maximum £2,000 - £2,300 to build a complete new PC. (Lucky B******)
I think a good quarter (ish) will go on his prefered monitor, the excellent BenQ http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-021-BQ&groupid=17&catid=510&subcat=
I have advised the Q6600 G0 95 watt chip, but the rest is pure opinion and knowledge.

Your Specs and opinions are welcome (save his soul from buying another MESH)

Cheers all.:)

Good balanced system, with that sort of budget I'd maybe consider custom water-cooling. You could also buy a TV Card, Fan Controller etc, not needed but you can practically get anything with that kinda budget.

He could also obviously get a more exotic case, more hard drive storage if needed etc, he could also save a few pounds by getting the OCuK 8800 GTX, a cheaper X-Fi soundcard etc, but i thought it all be worth it getting a gfx card with lifetime warranty as you've got a huge budget, also with the soundcard you get a front drive bay and a remote which is fairly cool i suppose.

Nice Spec truebluecfc,

Cheers for that mate,

Them Corsair PSU's are getting good reviews, and i did mention that model (620w) to him, so all the better.

I dont think that he would consider all the extra complications with water cooling but for the budget he has, it could easily warrant it.

Your right in saying, with that kind of budget, anything is possible.

I think gaming is the priority and just knowing that his money has been 'well spent' on a good rig, that is future proofed.

2 hours of Bioshock can have this effect on friends, :)

cheers mate
