Got a m8 asking me to build him a new pc
All he does is surf,plays a bit of music,uses PDF files etc (NO Gaming)
I am thinking
onboard gfx
120gb ssd (not msata/m2 as `when` he messes up it is easier for me to copy his data from a sata drive)
2x4gb ddr4 ram
quad core for future proof??+cooler
mobo
psu
cheapy case around the £30 should be fine(black)
dvdrw

not fussed if amd or intel
Suggestions for me to look at please :)
Price up to £400

Good point.Anyone know?
Mickyflinn`s basket looking good atm (first one)plus an optical drive and a 120 fan for front of case.Re case he would like a larger/taller case but they are quite a bit more,even looking on other places(Don`t remember them being this expensive last time i looked for one:confused:?)

Well ordered and all bits arrived today
Just my luck got a faulty cooler fan:(
Slow fan the gets slower then speeds up a bit rinse and repeat
Tried in all fan headers inc 3 pin same result
Different pwm fan works fine in all headers as it should
Just in the bios temps are getting to 80 oC before i switch off (keeps climbing with no sgn of fan speeding up)
Have posted in customer section
Was hoping to have this up and running on the weekend:(
 
Replacement hs fan just arrived,installed working as it should

On another note i only ordered 1 pwm case fan
opinions on where i should fit this
Front intake is usually where i would fit but this case has a side panel mounting that would blow fresh cooler air over the passive gfx card
I am leaning towards the side mount option,any complaints?
