Hi guys,
I am an old hand at this game but I haven't been deeply involved for a few years now so I'm a bit out of touch and I need someone like I was 5 years ago who knew everything about everything in hardware!

Budget is 350-400. I play games, but I am also a realist. Money is short, I don't need bells and whistles, overclocking capability etc. I have a 3 year old laptop with a core 2 duo processor and a 9600m gt graphics card, it plays games worse than my athlon 64 3700+ and 7800gs agp desktop. So really even the budget of the budget stuff will be a vast improvement on my current kit that I will be happy with.
Feel free to pick stuff from the this week only deals too, I am ordering within the next few days that's for sure.

I don't need a monitor, just the usual stuff. CPU, RAM, Mobo, gfx, psu, case, dvd, hdd. It would be nice for it to be somewhat futureproof but that isn't a huge priority if budget/price is compromised.

For CPU I was thinking the i3 2100, hdd a regular 500gb sata, dvd standard one, ram something nice 2+2gb again whatever is on offer. How are the AMDs these days? Better, cooler, faster, worse than the Intel? The things I'm out of touch with is the motherboards, graphics and psu on a budget. Are the coolermaster PSUs good? OCZ? Graphics again I don't know whats best for 90ish or less to fit in with my budget, no real preference between AMD/ATI and nVidia, although nvidia has served me well, same applies for AMD for the processor. One thing I don't mind spending the money on is the PSU, don't want no non-branded or OcUK ones, no offence of course. How are ocuk's own branded stuff? never seen a company do that before.

Thanks for your help troopers!
