Not so wierd as the other thread, I have been trying to locate a game for years now. Its a vertical scrolling schoot-em-up involving planes and such, from circa 1999 I think, give or take a year or two. Very little to go on, but I seem to remember the name having an animal in it, something like Tiger or Fox (no it's not tiger-heli). I had it on a demo cd from a pc magazine but lost the cd. Less helpful info is the one enemy I distinctly remember, as it was quite an unusual one; in the full game you come across these kinda blue cubes which roll down the landscape towards you (lol I know), but as I say it's mostly other aircraft. Was a nice pretty game, nice and colourful. Not raptor or tiger heli.

Rambling and it's late, but worth a shot. Would be nice after all this time, a special game for me and a mate, who I played it with.

Is Demonstar what your thinking of?
Only thing is that was spaceships, although I guess you have thought it was planes since your flying above land a lot of the time.

Its a wicked game though :)

Wierd, I was just looking at that game. But no, it's not, I definitely remember flying over green. Thanks for the suggestion. Was just checking http://www.classicgaming.com/shmups/ and there's nothing like it. Must have been a really unknown game at the time :(
There are some levels where your flying over green. It varies level to level.
Its got all the blue cubes and everything else you said :p

Hmmm, for some reason what you're saying reminds me of an old Amiga game called 'Banshee', but I have no idea if it was released on PC, let alone if it's the game you're thinking of.

Edit: Here's a screenie I found...

Cheers guys, no doesn't look like either of those. I'm pretty sure the menu was on the right hand side for a start. I guess it's too obscure, and too long ago.

But damn Tyrian is good! :D
