Looks like i didnt pass anything in my AS Levels but am currently on a course which should give me 280 ucas points will they look disfavourably on me because i failed all of my AS?

If you have the points from elsewhere, can't you just not mention it when you apply? :p

think they do some sort of checks , i done 1 year of 6th form and failed everything.

Now on a 2 Year BTEC National Diploma in I.T. Course finished 1st year with PPP/MMM/D. and now on my second year

but back to my question will it put them off horribly because i failed to get anything out of AS?

Dont mention it if your confident youll get in just off one course. I didnt include my U in physics :p

Well surely if my course offers say 280 Points if i get MMM and i get MMM that doesnt make any difference what ive gotten before?

Put it this way. I went to sixth form and done AVCE IT in which i got a C after the first year, and a U in physics. Decided nto to stay as the teaching was crap. Went off to college and done a BTEC IT proactitioners and got DD overall and im now on a BSc Comp Science.

So no, it doesnt make that much difference :)

So dont tell them. They dont do checks as i had to take my certificates in when i started to prove i had done the course.

But college advisors have told me prior that i must say everything ive done , im actually waiting on notice from my ex school because im 100% certain i atleast passed my AS Level ICT im sure theres some kind of mixup.

No, Northumbria.

I didnt even get my certificates from sixth form lol. Couldnt be bothered to go get them, so ive got nothign saying ive even done the AVCE or physics :o

i failed ICT too :D after a 15 hour exam on ICT in society resulting in an E.

after a remark my friend went from a U to a C and then lowered grade boundaries again upto a B, shocking from AQA, and after staying behind on tuesdays and fridays for a few months to do *** other 2 units, eventually i dropped it when i started year 13 thank god. no way was i sitting a 20 hour spreadsheet exam

but yeh i droped ict and didnt put it on my ucas application, i ddidnt even finish the AS, but yeh what they dont know wont hurt them.

Depends on the University i would say. I dont know anyone on my course at Southampton that doesnt have A levels..

I thought the exam board told UCAS your results?

Out of interest, how do Unis know what grades you got? Are they all stored on a database and if so, for how long? I have a worrying feeling I told my uni (a couple of years ago now) that one of my AS grades may have been a grade higher than I got. Not that it mattered as they went on my A-Levels which were in different subjects (chem & human bio) whereas the AS I got wrong was comp. sci.

You submit them to UCAS. They can be checked, but since UCAS send everything off to the unis you apply to then that's how they get them

EDIT: That's how the unis get the A-level results. You have to tell them your AS results though.
