I know i know, there are hundreds of threads similar, but this is a tougher nut to break...

I downloaded IE7 to test it. Then i tried getting BF2:EF from the EA downloader, and i get an error (IE7 is not supported yet). This means i need to revert back to IE6.

Here comes the tricky part: it does not have an entry in the add/remove programs list, even under updates, and i cannot do a manual uninstall as recommended here, the file is not there.

Can anyone help?

Which version of I.E. 7 do you have?

If it's the latest build 7.0.5335.0 and not build 7.0.5296.0 I would first try reinstalling it to see if it adds an entry in the add/remove program / update list.

Have you made sure that your system can see hidden system files before running the '$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst. exe'?

If that still doesn't work I'd manually look for the '$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst. exe' file to run it.

This is something you should expect when using BETA software.

I don't understand people who use beta software and complain about the bugs.. unless you're a developer, why are you using it?

its beta what do you expect!

they say not to install it on machines that you depend on etc, just format and be done with it

the only time i use IE, is through IETab in firefox, for windowsupdate, but i still wouldn't install a beta IE on my main pc, because IE's an integral part of explorer
