This is slightly different being that I am happy with my Windows 7.

I have my Windows 8 disk here but IMO there is nothing wrong with my Windows 7 install. Everything works, games work, the programs I use are there waiting to be used, I haven't bloated it with crap so it isn't in need of a reformat. Everything is how I like it.

Is there any reason for me to install Windows 8(.1)?
Are there any real benefits?

I do find reinstalling an OS a bit of a grind. Finding and installing all the drivers and programs etc to get things the way I like them. But at the same time if there are clear benefits I am happy to do it, plus I like the thought of tinkering with something new.

Always a hard question to answer when you have everything running smoothly,so lets just talk about what Win 8.1 has ie improved security, faster in general use ,better BF4 gaming due to better DX optimisation,DX11.2 down the road which will be exclusive to Win8 and Xbox one, reset and refresh options,Microsoft store, better multi-monitor support etc.

Win8/8.1 does have quite a few more new features buts its really down to if you need them or not.

This sort of question is always hard to answer because its really down to you and what you need or think is worth it or not.

I can really only answer for myself and say I'm happy I went Win8.1 and will not be going back to Win7 which can RIP and is over 4 years old now, where does the time go lol.

If your happy with 7 stick with it, you do get quite a few new features with 8 and newer games are supposed to favor 8, but if you haven't got your pc clogged with stuff then might aswell upgrade as you'll not have that much to reinstall after.

If you have windows 8 already you may as well use it. I purchased mine on launch day and wouldn't go back to 7 purely because it's quicker.
